Worker sells baby girl for Rs 1L, buys bike, phone

An agricultural labourer in Chikkaballapur district sold his 3-month-old daughter for Rs 1 lakh and bought a new motorbike and a mobile phone. The infant, sold to a childless couple from a neighbouring village, was rescued by officials of the women and child welfare department on Saturday.
