Telangana counts its losses, CM pegs it at Rs 5k cr

Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has pegged the loss suffered by the state in Wednesday’s downpour at roughly Rs 5,000 crore. Of this, Rs 2,000 crore would be needed for farmers who lost their crop. After holding a high-level meeting on Thursday, KCR urged the Centre to release Rs 1,350 crore as immediate relief.
